2020 - A Year to Forget??
Conflicting thoughts about 2020...
It has been a tough year for a lot of people - to put it mildly - but for me personally whilst it has been challenging and changeable, there have been some great moments.
I been fortunate to work with a great team on some really interesting and meaningful projects this year and topping it off I celebrated 1 year of Flow Consulting Ltd. (time flies!). So I feel it would be wrong to discard the year completely from a personal level.
Milestones like this and the sense of purpose and working alongside likeminded people has made all the difference to my state of mind and energy levels over the past few months. So thank you to everyone who has been a part of my year.
So, do we forget 2020 happened? I think not. Here’s why…
We can learn a lot from how we rose to the challenges thrown at us, how we pulled together and pushed ourselves. Not only how we pushed ourselves but how we refocused energy on looking after ourselves - regaining some balance in our lives. How we were there for one another and took action to protect not only ourselves but others.
What an unprecedented year and all this being said I am looking forward to seeing the back of it and getting back to a sense of normality of course (whatever that means). But I want to use my time off to really take stock of what I’ve learned and how I’ve developed this past year - and how to come back replenished and stronger next year.
I hope all my contacts & colleagues past & present have a well-deserved break and take the time to reflect on how well we're all doing to adapt to this crazy time.
Keep going - you're doing great!!
See you in 2021.
